How should i convince parent to get rats?

my parents keep saying no to me getting a rat!!!! im so sadHow should i convince parent to get rats?
First of all you should never get a single rat. Rats are highly social and should be kept in same sex pairs or groups. I convinced my parents by doing all the research I could into their care. It showed how committed and serious I was. Research material:

Drop it for awhile so they think you're over it. Then go and get a rat and all the stuff with a friend and spend the night at her house. Write a long note and leave it on your bed saying that you're running away with your 32 year old boyfriend named Bob because you couldn't bare to tell them that you're pregnant. Include lots of details like he's married now but he's getting divorced to marry you and you love your new double-wide in Kentucky. When you're sure they're freaked out and a about to have a heart attack-- include at the end of the letter that you're kidding, you're sorry, and getting a rat doesn't seem so bad now,does it? Tell them that you'll be home tomorrow when they're over wanting to kill you. GOOD LUCK
Well for starters, how about trying the following:


#1 Cleaning your room and making sure that it STAYS clean and tidy.


#2 Making sure that your homework is done and handed in on time.


#3 Sweep the floors in the living room and kitchen without your parents asking you to.


#4 Wash and/or dry the dishes.


#5 Do not fight and argue with your sisters %26amp; brothers.


#6 Eat what you are given and don't whine or make ';yuck'; faces when given it.


#7 Don't talk rudly to adults


#8 Always share with other kids.


#9 Go to bed when you are told to.


#10 Research the pet and breed you want to be 100% certain that it is the right one for you.


# 11 Ask them about getting this new pet in a nice way and don't beg and whine about it.

say: mum, dad i know you dont want me to get rats but ts summin i gotta do it will make me happy and they are cleaner then hamsters gerbils and rabbits , they are also the most inteligent rodents and are smarta then some dogs! they are great pets and are easy to train i really want this, and i want you to want this for me to, so please let me and we can take it back if its really that bad. good luck :D
Show them you're responsible, don't beg. Make a powerpoint with facts and info. about pet rats and of course adorable pictures! Show it to them and if they still say no, then ask for them for whatever major present holiday is coming up next, just to show you're not kidding around and it's something you really want. Research!
OK good question, everyone one i have asked said power point i was like no no that will never work because my mom for one hates having pets and for two she is scared of rats and mice but i was like well its worth a try so i made an over the top presentation and she loved it she said i looked very mature and like i knew stuff about rats and she said yes as long as my room is clean until x-mas!
Kara.....do your research! The more you know about rats the better your argument. I have eleven rats. The are clean ( if you keep them clean). They are very friendly and intelligent. We have ours out with us all the time and they all have different personalities! My Husband felt the same way as your parents, but when he let me get our first two he was smitten! I would head to a local pet store and price out the best housing (aquariums are a no-no) there should be a variety of nice cages....price out the bedding and food. Check out a book at the library and set up your argument...good luck :-)
Most people don't like rats because they think that they carry bad things. You could try getting more information about them and explanning it to your parents. One thing they should know is that they're born in a cage and not in any gross place to have a sickness. Hope you have some luck!
