HELP! I need to get rid of rats?

They got into the house via a hole that I have now blocked up. No more can get in but the ones inside can not get out. They keep me awake at night running around. They are not interested in the spring traps so I got a cage trap as well. A rat inspected it in full view of me but refused to go in, and gave me a look to say ';Up yours mate!'; This is now a PERSONAL insult, I want them DEAD!HELP! I need to get rid of rats?
Well I would麓t mess to much with Rat麓s , and would麓t trap them in a corner, If they wan麓t to get passed you they will, and even if it mean麓s biting you on the way passed. I suggest you call Rent-o-Kill or go to your local town hall, they will send someone to your house and get rid off them, for a small fee. Rat麓s carry diseases, and will chew your house to bit麓s , even chew through the electric wires, which could cause a fire ,HELP! I need to get rid of rats?
Well that麓s a lot of money to pay out, In this case buy bigger trap麓s and put some Spanish Chorizo Sausage you can by this in most super markets, they won麓t pass this by, There is also the glue you can buy , but this is a waste off money . I have seen a rat eat it麓s leg off just to escape,

well you could poison them but risk them not being able to crawl out to die so will stink


what are you baiting the trap with? try cat food or chocolate
Well the best way to get rid of rats is to bom your house like you would with roaches and then get peanut butter rat traps from Wal-Mart of 1$ store and start from there and try to keep the house very neat so they wont have anything to live off and see what happens from there...
Bait the spring traps with peanut butter, rats around here have to have their peanut butter fix, then you can get your own back and make them in to rat-a-two-ey
lol... take a paper plate, put some peanut butter on it, put some bleach on it. or some posion thats tasteless or a concentrated dose of some medication, put it near area, and wait a couple days and theyll be dead.

Get a cat.
get a jack russell terrier, they love a good ratting session!
Go to a local horse feed merchant and buy a rat baiting station and the blocks of poison to put in it, cover loosley with some old smelly cloth, ( tin of sardines could come in useful )


Make sure you keep filling it up with the poison as it will be taken away and fed to the young rats.


This worked in our stables and as far as I'm aware we have not got them now.


Once you think they may be gone keep the area clean and free of rubbish piles of bricks ect giving them no where to hide, plus you will be able to check for fresh dropping easily.

Call the council - they will come round and sort them out for nothing. Or you could borrow a Jack Russell, that's what we had on our farm!
use rat poison and rat traps
don't get carried away you will end up like tom and Jerry and your house will get burned down. Then you will have no choice but to live with the rats
