Are there rats in the White House?

I worked at the Federel Triangle years back, when Clinton was president %26amp; I remember the rats in %26amp; outside the buildings, as big as house cats, were all over the place. And they had no fear of humans. I was just wondering if they'd been exterminated or had spread?Are there rats in the White House?
