i have rats and lately i have noticed when i clean their cage i get small welts that itch on my hands. What is it and what can i do about it. I have had them (the rats) since before christmas and never noticed this before.Rash from my rats that itches what can i do?
Try using some hydrocortisone cream from over the counter.
Make sure to wash your hands before and after cleaning the cage
If the rash spreads, you might want to see the doc - and he/she may suggest giving the rats away
