Why rats fur is turning pink?

For about a week or two my rats fur has periodically turned pink, at first it was a small patch on his back and now it has spread to the back of his head and vairouse other spots. Even if we bathe him the spots remain. What should we do? What is wrong with him? Is he sick? Please help. Why rats fur is turning pink?
ah man you rat sounds seriously depressed and stressed.....I used to have a pet rat Missy ...and it looked like her fur was turning pink to...but when you looked closer you could see the pink was her skin....she was pulling her fur out ......we took her to the vet because clearly that means there is something up....and he said she was probably lonely... So we got Squeak....and never looked back....

They are both perfectly fine now....

You should take your rat to the vet, to make sure its not a disease and then maybe try getting a pal for himWhy rats fur is turning pink?
thank you so much, you were right, we got our fury friend a buddy and now he looks fine. thank you.

If you give him certain vitamins periodically, that may be an effect of them. Also, if he was still a baby rat when you got him, that could be just his natural coloration and is just growing into it now.

You should definitly take the rat to the vet. It could be a disease or something.
