Device to keep bugs and rats away?
is there a device that yuo could put in the house that keeps away rats and bugs, i saw one at as seen as on tv, but could not find it on their site!!!Device to keep bugs and rats away?
There are electronic devices that make frequencies that are supposed to drive bugs and rats away but their effectiveness is marginal. I've seen ones for bugs and ones for rodents but never one for both. We used to sell them in our L%26amp;G Center but many customers told us they didn't work very well so we stopped selling them. They were between 20-25 bucks and that's too much to charge a customer when you know it's not going to do the job right.

Well, if you have a local pet store you can give them away, or you can go to www.craigslist.com and sell them with a free classified ad online! I see rats on there all the time for like $10 each to good families. If you give them away for free they will most likely end up as reptile chow.
Rats are great pets, look at your local pet stores many of them will buy or take rats that you give them as long as they are healthy. I used to have three pet rats that the store was selling as feeders. You can tell them you want yours sold as Pets

Here in Plano Texas I took a couple of litters over to the Outdoor Learning Center. They started a colony with them, to be used in feeding Katy the giant python, and other snakes.
You can ship them, sure.
But you can just let them free. Rats really love to be free. And there's no fine for that, unless you do it off the side of a road.
The local zoo might accept them, but they would use the rats as live food for the reptiles. I know this sounds mean.
I'm assuming that you want to find good pet homes for your babies. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Look into shipping, it can be very expensive and most outlets will not take the responsibility of shipping live rodents.
I would love to take them but I have over 50 rats to care for right now.

When should I introduce my rats?
I have a new female rat who is smaller than my existing female. After I go through all the steps like putting their cages together and swaping cages and all of that, when should i introduce them? Biggest thing is going slow. The person who said rats shouldn't be put together are uninformed and shouldn't be posting here. Rats are HIGHLY social, and 99% of the time would rather have a cage mate than none at all. Usually the 1% that doesn't live well with other rats are due to social problems from an early age -- no interaction ever with rats, usually male, traumatic experiences, etc.
When you do introduce htem out of the cage, do it in a neutral territory. Often a bathtub is a good option. I've heard that a person put pudding on their rats fur, which makes them more interested in getting the pudding off than hurting each other. You may have to do these short introductions on neutral territory MANY times before they finally get used to each other. NO BLOOD NO FOUL. Even if your bigger rat pins down the little one, and the little one screams bloody murder.... if there is no blood, there is nothing wrong with what they are doing. They have to be able to sort out their hierarchy on their own.
Let the small rat into the big rat's cage on occassion with the big rat OUT, and put the big rat in the small rat's cage ( again, NOT together). They will get used to smelling the other's scent in their area. When you do finally move them into the big cage, make sure you remove EVERYTHING, clean the cage with a bleach solution, and wash any hammocks, food dishes, etc. Put hammocks and stuff back in a different location than it was before. ALSO: put the cage in a different room than where it normally is. This helps to remove any extra territoriality the bigger rat may have over her space.

Before introducing rats, it is very important to quarantine them to prevent the spread of any germs or airborne illnesses. Quarantining means separating the rats in a completely different air space for up to 3 weeks, and then introducing them.
Speaking from personal experience, I did not quarantine my rats long enough, and one of them had an upper respiratory infection while the other did not. Because I failed to keep them apart for over 3 weeks, now they both have upper respiratory infections. This error has cost me a few hundred dollars in vet bills (but I love my rats so this is no big deal) and lots of medicine that they hate taking.
So please quarantine your rats before introducing them.
Otherwise, take your time with introducing them. Put their cages in the same room where they can see/smell/hear each other but cannot reach each other through the bars of their cage. Do this a few times a day until they are comfortable with each other.

yeah thats fine... not too many of course cause you don't want them to be unhealthy. but as a treat that would be just fine. rats can eat almost anything and be okay... but here is a list of food to be careful with

I would suggest against it. Frootloops are very high in sugar and could make your rat sick. Try regular cheerios, my rats love them! :D

Where are mole rats around Fallout 3?

At your level, just try walking about in the wilderness, or continue on with other quests and you will bump into them eventually. I have just completed the quest you are talking about and it didn't take that long, all I done was walked about and every time I saw one, I made sure I used the stick, they are everywhere!
P.S. Once you kill 10 with the stick, you get to keep it, and it is brilliant for killing Mole Rats with, a couple of hits and they are down.
They spawn randomly in the wilderness at your level. That, and inside Vaults. Good luck!
