As a rare treat this would be ok. But I would not give them this treat more often than every 2-3 months. Too much sugar can cause health issues.Is it ok to give rats frootloolps?
yeah thats fine... not too many of course cause you don't want them to be unhealthy. but as a treat that would be just fine. rats can eat almost anything and be okay... but here is a list of food to be careful with

I would suggest against it. Frootloops are very high in sugar and could make your rat sick. Try regular cheerios, my rats love them! :D

How is your rat or rats with strangers?
my rats never meet strangers. but i had to take my rat kenai to the vets today, there was a few people in reception and i was worried he would freak out. but the nurse on the front desk held him and he enjoyed that, and he was on the counter and he thoroughly enjoyed being stroked by these kids that came in. he even licked one of them.How is your rat or rats with strangers?
All 3 of my girls really enjoy meeting new people. Mallie just knows when she is around people that do not like rats. She will do anything she can to get to that person. She is relentless and will not give up until she has met them. She thinks she is a rat advocate, she has already changed at least 4 peoples minds about rats! My ratty, Jazz, doesn't really like new people unless they've visited him a few times.
It's not that he's unfriendly, he just isn't comfortable. He'll sniff them but he won't leave the comfort of my shoulder unless he's smelt them at least a few times over a few weeks, lol.
He finally went onto my other half today for a cuddle but panicked because I moved slightly away from him and wanted to come back to me immediately, bless :)
He goes to my Mum, though, because she gives him treats even though I tell her not to! Hehe :)
My blue male and my blue female are very friendly with strangers. They arent as comfortable with them as with me (obviously), but will sit quietly on their hands or shoulders until I pick them back up. My black and white male and female (funny how the colors worked out, because none of them are related) are much more skittish, and it takes extra time on my part to get them to be held. They dont bite or attempt to bite anyone though, so for that im thankful :-)
Pet rats are very good with other humans and children. Thats why they make good pets. The woman at the front desk obviously knew how to handle him, but the kids im not sure if you would of wanted them to pick him up. But for the future, they do like humans and they love to be handled if handled the right way!

thats great! my rat lacy loves people and even goes up to my cat! but my other rat peanut is very skiddish so if your rats ever get nervous or anything around people its ok. rats are very social and loving animals
My rat Otis LOVES people.
And my rat Aaden is a little shyer but warms up quickly.
Its just depends on their personality.
Mine are perfectly fine with everyone they've met.

While the soldiers tried to sleep at night they could feel the rats crawling all over them, and some would wait untill the rats were on their legs, then suddenly bend their legs upwars, sending the rats flying.
Some men would try and shoot the rats but this wasn't a good idea as the gunshot noise could set some shooting from the opposition off, so basically, it was just another thing they had to put up with xWhat did soldiers do about rats?

Mrs Frisby and the Rats Of Nymh question?
In the end, when the two rats died, was one of them Justin? He was my favourite character and I was just wandering, if anyone has read the sequels, if Justin is still alive, and who the two rats were who did die.Mrs Frisby and the Rats Of Nymh question?

justine did not die. the two rats that did were just rats that we never knew, in fact, one was just that, a rat, not from nimh(and it is nimh)

What exactly are pet rats like?
Hmm. Can a rat or other rodents learn, like a dog can, how to trust you, know you, and understand things? Or are their brains simply too small to comperhend things like that.

theyre tiny litle geniuses! lol
seriously as far as im aware the only difference between rats and dogs is that dogs are bigger and live longer, and i think a LOT more people would have rats if they lived longer.
oh but be warned...they are addictive! i i got 2 rats and went back a week later for 2 more! then a few weeks ago i got another baby one cuz one of my other 4 is a lot smaller than the rest so i wanted her to have a little friend :D
then today i went to the pet shop (after a strict no more rats warning from my mum) and came home with a dumbo rat!
i had to sneak it in the house lolWhat exactly are pet rats like?
YES rats are UH-MAZING pets they can swim and dig and you can take them outside with you! yes they will trust you mine like ppl to dealth i love rtas and have 2 at the moment GET A RAT (:
Rats are very very intelligent animals! I'd compare them to dogs, they are personable, trainable, intelligent, and bond with their owners. Most other rodents are not as intelligent as rats, and they make spectacular pets.
They do trust and bond with their owners, even if you get a pair of them. (Which you should or else they become depressed easily.) You can train them commands and words to do tricks and they can learn their own names! Just be sure to handle the rats daily or else you may be disappointed because they won't get to know you.
rats can comprehend many things they are very intelligent this may sound weird but many old philosophers say that at one point rats where more advanced than humans and remember the size does not always show the capacity

Rats are awesome!!!!! They can learn their names and are VERY easy to train. They also have excellent memories (this is why they are commonly used in labs for behavioral studies and learning studies). Rats will sit on your shoulder and hang out. I think you'd be pleasantly surprised! :)
